Spacebank demonstrates its SDR-based robot control platform to Minister Bae Kyung-hoon.
Spacebank, an intelligent digital transformation (AIDX) specialist led by CEO Woney Lee, announced that it demonstrated its SDR (Software Defined Robot)-based heterogeneous robot control platform, RoboViewX, during the tenant company presentation session following the “Roundtable on Promoting Bold and Innovative AI Investment,” held on the 18th at the Korea Telecommunications Operators Association (KTOA) in Gangnam, Seoul.
The roundtable was co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and KTOA, aiming to stimulate bold and innovative investments in Korea’s AI and robotics industries. The event was attended by Minister Bae Kyung-hoon, along with representatives from major telecommunications companies and CEOs of resident startups.
The Korean government has recently emphasized the expansion of AI investment, announcing plans to invest over KRW 30 trillion in the AI sector through the “National Growth Fund Briefing.” It has also reinforced its commitment to supporting private-sector-led innovation and AI/deep-tech startups through initiatives such as the launch of the National AI Strategy Committee and the Youth Startup Imagination Concert.
During the roundtable, Minister Bae Kyung-hoon directly engaged with AI startups to explore practical and forward-looking support measures. Notably, this marked the first time a minister from the Ministry of Science and ICT personally chaired such a meeting. The ministry has previously gathered feedback from early-stage and small AI startups through initiatives such as the “Government–Telecom AI Investment Cooperation Declaration” (August 12) and the “AI Startup Investment and Support Roundtable” (August 21).
The meeting also included discussions on the introduction of the “(tentative) Innovator Challenge”, a program designed to identify and invest in startups with strong technological capabilities and high growth potential. By the end of the year, up to ten winning teams are expected to be selected and provided with priority investment opportunities through the Korea IT Fund (KIF), along with access to office space, participation in overseas IR events, and additional incentives within government startup support programs.
During the tenant company presentation session, Spacebank showcased the RoboViewX platform, demonstrating integrated control capabilities for quadruped robots and other heterogeneous robotic systems. RoboViewX is an integrated control platform designed for managing diverse robot types, featuring ▲a robot client agent that enables stable data communication between robots and external systems ▲real-time video streaming and timeline-based monitoring and recording ▲an action viewer that visualizes robot operations in 3D and enables historical data analysis ▲and chart and dashboard functionalities that allow simultaneous visualization and management of multiple workspaces.
Through these capabilities, the platform enhances the stability, efficiency, and scalability of robot operations, while enabling real-time monitoring of data collected from vision sensors and environmental sensors deployed on robots.
Commenting on the demonstration, Woney Lee, CEO of Spacebank, said, “For small and medium-sized enterprises to grow into AX startups, bold investment must be accompanied by a supportive environment that encourages companies to take risks and learn from failure.”
