Spacebank, a company specializing in digital transformation (DX) solutions led by CEO Wonhee Lee, announced that it signed three memorandums of understanding (MOUs) at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, the world’s largest mobile communications exhibition, held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 26 to 29 local time.
Through these new partnerships, Spacebank plans to strengthen collaboration in its human care business and establish a broader sales network to support its global expansion.
During the exhibition, Spacebank showcased its intelligent integrated control solution, AIoT Wright, along with its human care sensor, CareRate, at its booth. By presenting a radar sensor-based human care solution to visitors, the company enhanced its visibility in the global market and actively pursued new overseas business opportunities.
As a result, Spacebank secured three agreements with domestic and international companies through MWC 2024, laying the groundwork for global partnerships. The company signed an MOU and a letter of intent (LOI) with a Spanish senior influencer business operator to build a cooperative framework for supplying and promoting Spacebank’s CareRate as a human care solution for seniors. In addition, Spacebank signed further MOU and LOI agreements with a Spanish medical solution provider and Korea-based Damoa Tech to cooperate on supplying AIoT monitoring solutions for IoT sensors and devices.
Previously, in mid-November last year, Spacebank participated in the Global Industrial Internet of Things Summit (GIITS) 2023 at the invitation of Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil company of Saudi Arabia. At the exhibition, the company introduced AIoT solutions designed for application in smart cities and smart factories. Over the course of the two-day event, Spacebank successfully concluded six agreements, demonstrating strong local market interest. Building on these achievements, the company is now moving forward in earnest with its expansion into the Middle East market.
Woney Lee, CEO of Spacebank, said, “This was a meaningful opportunity to introduce our proven technology in Korea more actively to overseas markets. It was also an excellent venue to receive evaluation and feedback for the global expansion of Korean solutions, and a place where we could truly appreciate the growing status of K-Software. Based on the global partnerships formed at MWC 2024, we will continue taking the next steps toward the future.”
Meanwhile, this year’s exhibition featured the largest-ever integrated Korea Pavilion, highlighting Korea’s status and national competitiveness as a global leader in mobile technology.
